Most of my time is dedicated to my family.  John and I have been married for 5 years and he is my grace, the reason I am still sane at the end of many days.  I also have two daughters, Hailey (age 3) and Victoria (14 months).  They are joyful, sweet teachers to me.  Hailey is very outgoing and passionate, with enough personality and energy for two people her size.  Tori (Victoria) is much more pacific, but with a real talent for moving her body.  We call her yoga-baby for the unusual positions and places she gets herself into.  I'm also expecting another child in May or June of 2003.  You can see my online "blessingway" by clicking on the link to the left.

I have been a certified doula for two years, and have supported women through labor and birth in many different situations.  I'm proud to help families at the bridge we call birth.  I believe in the power and beauty of birth, even when it is not gentle.  I believe in the strength of women to give birth the way they need to, and the tenderness of husbands and partners as they support their beloveds through this process and discover themselves as fathers. 

I also teach or mentor childbirth classes.  I am a candidate in the Birthing From Within mentor certification program, an extensive program designed to change childbirth education into extraordinary preparation for birth and parenthood.  I love teaching and learning from these classes.
